Where two or three are gathered together in My Name, I am there in the midst of them.  – Mt 18:20

Reflection.  Dorothy Day of Catholic Worker fame once took a homeless woman into her shelter when it was exceedingly overcrowded.  Dorothy said, “It’s all right, let her in, she can sleep with me.”  She was quickly warned, “Can’t you see that woman is in the last stages of syphilis?”  Without hesitation, Dorothy replied, “That is not a woman with syphilis; for me she is Jesus Christ.”

Prayer.  Lord, make my heart brave enough to see Your face in the least among us, and strong enough to respond in a loving way.
