If anyone teaches otherwise … he is proud, dwelling on questions and disputes of words.   – 1 Tim 6:3-4

Reflection.  The Humanist Creed was first codified in 1933 when American humanists, under the leadership of John Dewey, philosopher and educator, drew up the “Humanist Manifesto.”  The Manifesto was loaded with hostility against traditional religion.  It held that there is no God; that religious belief is an enemy of human progress, and that only rationality and science can save us.

Prayer.  Deliver me, O Lord, from the darkness of false teaching.  Let me know the joy of loving You with all my heart.
