Leaving the Sanhedrin, the Apostles rejoiced that they had been found worthy to suffer disgrace for the sake of the Name. – Acts 5:41
Reflection. Feeling joy while one is suffering public disgrace for the Lord may seem a contradiction, but the Saints experienced it all the time. This joy is a by-product of surrendering to the Lord. “Blessed are you when you are persecuted for My sake” (Mt 5:11). These words are true.
Prayer. Dear Lord, the Gospel message often baffles me. Help me to understand these supernatural truths, and more importantly, help me to trust You completely.
